On my flight to Paris, where I was invited to the launch of the new Estee Lauder campaign with Paulina Porzikowa as the face of the campaign, I devoured her book "No Filter". Paulina, who turned 60 on April 9, has the gift of pouring her diverse, often contradictory thoughts and deep feelings into touching and enlightening words.
Listen to her thoughts on beauty and getting older and how society deals with it.
For me, Paulina Porzikova is a thinker and philosopher through and through. And definitely not "just" a model. A saying that people like to say when they can't stand the fact that a woman is not only beautiful but also intelligent. Sorry, but Paulina is both and much more. She is strong, clever, tender, courageous, vulnerable, creative, anxious, desperate, warm, approachable, humorous, warm-hearted and also beautiful.
Paulina calls on women to embrace their age and that includes wrinkles. The alternative would be not to grow old, to die young - is that what we want? Definitely not!!! We should be proud of all that we have achieved and stop treating our age and our wrinkles like enemies. After all, our wrinkles tell the story of our lives and make every face unique.
Be your best version, but be real in any way.
