Freedom through sorting out! :-)

There are different phases in life. Childhood, when we learn basic skills. Then adolescence. We are free and usually not yet tied down. We find our identity and gather experiences that we take with us into adulthood. By now, at the latest, we have cut the apron strings and found our own important circle of friends. We have a lot in common with them. We probably share our lifestyle and attitudes. In addition, we are now busy building a nest.
Our once free and carefree life as young people now revolves around objects, obstructing our view and taking away our time to simply do nothing.
Without noticing, we are in the collecting and building trap. Many things, furniture, dishes, clothes, cables, plugs, books, electrical appliances, etc., are hoarded in our nest because we liked them now or at some point in the future, or because we might need them someday.
Things need to be sorted, dusted, rearranged, and put away. All of this makes us feel unfree, costs time, and also money. Because for all this junk, we not only need shelves, cupboards, and boxes, but also additional space, i.e., a larger apartment and thus higher rent.
As we get older, many of us find this burdensome. We are slowly approaching the home stretch, heading toward retirement. Now is the right time to take a close look at our possessions. It's time to sort things out. And the magic word that is essential to this process is:
Let go!
Letting go of my attachment to material things. Instead, I consider how important this item is to me today. When was the last time I held it in my hands, wore it, or consciously enjoyed it? You will be amazed at how much of your stuff has been gathering dust for years. Unloved, unseen, just weighing you down. Then it's better to get rid of it right away.
It's liberating! And maybe you'll even EXHALE with every piece that leaves your nest.

Help yourself with sorting things out. For example, put a reminder on the bathroom mirror:
"I no longer have to be attached to an object. I can give it away, sell it, or even throw it away."
Its time is over. It has served its purpose and may now make someone else happy or spend its last days in the dump."
And the best is, with the space that is created around you and within you, you can open the door to new experiences.
Have fun with it! Simone
